2005 Gemini 105 MC

2005 Gemini 105 MC

SOLD

For sale 2005 Gemini 105MC in Cape Canaveral, Florida.  Turnkey ready for extended coastal cruise.  The Gemini 105Mc is one of the most proven and popular catamaran's ever built.  With her 47’ mast she clears every ICW bridge and her 14’ beam allows docking at lower cost mono hull slips.  Drawing a scant 18” (boards up) allows overnight anchorage in the shallow waters off the islands in the Bahama.  “Off Duty" was the retirement dream of current owners, yet health conditions require her sale.

This 2nd owner boat, acquired last spring (2018) for the last 9 months "Off Duty" has been lovingly prepared for extended cruising in Florida, the Bahamas and beyond. New solar, new wind turbine, new additional batteries, new Inverter, new dingy, new lines, new LED lighting, updated AC system,   new main sail and lazy jack.. an extensive list of upgrades and short journeys have her beautifully prepared.

Yes, "Off Duty" exhibits the classic surface gel crazing too common on the Geminis.  It's a 105MC and these are expected.  What you will find in this 13 year old lightly used coastal cruising catamaran is a turnkey vessel... bring your foodstuffs, your bathing suit and your sense of adventure.  Due to owners personal issue, we have priced this boat below market value for condition for immediate sale.  Located Port Canaveral, Florida.

Ready for a new owners adventure.

Acquired in the spring of 2018 from the original owner, current owners prepared “Off Duty” for years of sailing, cruising, exploring and retirement.  Everything you would do when buying a pre-owned boat and preparing her has been done.

The onboard 12V system was upgraded with a new 400W (super quiet) wind turbine generator and controls, a new 250W Solar panel and controls, added 3 batteries (for a total of 5) and installed a new Inverter charger.  The onboard Mermaid 16,000 was fully refurbished blowing cold air and warming the salon on chilly evenings.  The sail drive fluids were changed and fittings greased. The Westerbeke engine was serviced including new water pump, filters, belts and fuel filters. Owners purchased a new Achilles dingy and fully serviced the older 2 stroke Yamaha 8hp outboard, stored on davits behind the comfort sling seating.  We believe her bottoms were painted in 2017.  With all systems go, owners continued in her preparation.

Most every running line is new and most dock lines.  Most lights were changed out to LED. Owner created an ingenious day shade for the large main cabin window. The Main Sail is new, along with the Lazy Jack. The furling Genoa was in good condition, so not replaced.  There is a screecher sail and track, however it has not been deployed.  The hatches have screens and 4 way directional wind shoots bring cooling breezes into the salon. The Isinglass looks new after cleaning and there are cockpit bug screens.  Unfamiliar with their new vessel, fortunately all the manuals were included, so in preparation owners labeled various valves and systems.  The galley is clean and used daily.  They installed a new small TV with dvd/ Blu-ray player for entertainment when not listening to music (AM/FM/CD/Sirius). From bow to stern she was cleaned, like you would with a “new to you” boat.  It’s not often as a broker I can truly say: this boat is 100% ready. With "Off Duty" this is accurate.
